Motivation text in English.

I’m a digitization librarian at the University of Alberta Library and an active Wikimedian (Viola-Ness) since 2014. I contribute in English but je suis assez bilingue dans le travail collaborative. I'm interest renewing my Wikimedia Canada Board seat to continue to help promote and support greater Wikimedia activity in Western Canada. I’m interested in working to help community groups contribute to Wikipedia by connecting them to library resources and supporting more integration of Wikipedia into the classroom. My passion for years has been advocating for open access to scholarship and facilitating the creation of open content. Supported by:

Dear members, I have been around Wikimedia Canada since 2013 and on the Board of Directors since 2016. During all those years, I have worked hard along other members to consolidate WMCA. We now have a permanent team, with Louis Germain, our new Executive Director and I thank the WMF for their support ($$). My new mandate will be in continuity with all we have done so far : a better governance day after day (new committees to come for the Board of Directors) and reach out work, with you. The new team, dedicated all year long to your projects, will make them thrive. This is my hope for years to come. I have already started to think about the preparation of the future leaders of our organization. Please step forward, don't be shy... Short bio : M.Sc. (Université de Montréal) and ASC (equivalent Chartered Director), on my way to become PhD candidate (HEC Montréal) autumn 2023... Project management, Governance, Research, Science Communication, Commons and newly Degrowth. I work part time in a community organization that serves aphasic people (AQPA) and as a coordinator of a research group on mobility (ALLIIUM).
