Amendment to the Bylaws[edit]
WHEREAS the Board of Directors of Wikimedia Canada may wish to benefit from the
experience of a past president
WHEREAS the Board of Directors of Wikimedia Canada may wish to benefit from the
prestige of a past president
WHEREAS Wikimedia Canada could benefit from the presence of a past president to
ensure continuity with the new president;
The following amendment to the Bylaws, Section 34, is proposed:
b. Immediate Past President - The Past President, if appointed, shall be a non-voting director. The office of Immediate Past President shall not be subject to election. It shall be filled ex officio by the President who is completing his/her term. In the event of the resignation of the immediate past president, this position shall remain vacant. The immediate past president shall have such powers and duties as may be assigned by the board of directors.
This resolution does not change the number of directors on the Wikimedia Canada Board of Directors.
