However, considering the limited budget of Wikimedia Canada this year, the Committee already indicated that it will be impossible to approve your grant request in full for the requested budget. As such, the Committee kindly asks you if you could review your request and edit it for a lower budget before it is being considered for a final decision on 29 July. Grant request pre-approved

Good day Harpreet Sandhu,

The Programs Committee would like to thank you for your very interesting project. It has come to the decision to pre-approve your grant request in part for a total amount of 200.00 CAD, mainly because of the restricted budget for the rest of the fiscal year 2019. The Committee would like to see more activities to attract new contributors as part of your project, for example training for new contributors or presentations about the Wikimedia projects at the visited gurdwaras. The Committee also proposes to try to find local people to take photographs of the gurdwaras. That being said, the Committee would also like to invite you to re-apply for a further project in January 2020 after the attribution of the new budget for the fiscal year 2020. Thanks for the pre approval of the amount 200.00 CAD. i just completed the project tour and covered the most of the Gurudwaras(Sikh temples) in BC,Alberta and Ontario as well. i will uploaded the information on Wikidata soon. for the pre approved budget apparently it is too less to cover the cost so i had to make adjustments from my own. i can understand the budget restrictions and appreciate your support. i am planning to widen the Punjabi and other Asian communities in Canada in near future. i am also planning meet ups with religious groups and institutes to involve the people in such projects. Good day User:Harpreet Sandhu, do you still plan to use the 200.00 CAD pre-approved for this project? Those funds need to be spent before 31 December 2019. If you do not plan to use them this year, please let me know as soon as possible so we can transfer them to somebody else, and you could re-apply for 2020.
