President and Executive Committee Report[edit]
- The minutes of the meeting of Executive Committee of 5 October 2020 was presented to the Board.
- The Executive Committee approved two expenses since the last Board meeting: the bill for August from Jean-Philippe Béland for a total of $15,042.67 (which include an amount of $8,328.13 for Atypic) and the bill for September from Jean-Philippe Béland for a total of $3,081.33.
Secretary Report on members[edit]
- 47 members as of today. 14 new members since the last Board meeting.
Treasurer Report[edit]
- The totals in the bank and PayPal accounts were presented to the Board.
Programs Committee Report[edit]
- The minutes of the meetings of the Programs Committee of 28 September 2020 and 26 October 2020 were presented to the Board.
Report on contractuals[edit]
- Jean-Philippe Béland: The detailed bills from Jean-Philippe Béland were presented to the Board.
- Pierre Choffet (ECCC Project): Beginning of Phase 2 of the project. There is a meeting upcoming with ECCC.
- Pierre Choffet (IT Support): Nothing since last Board meeting.
Expenditure Approvals[edit]

Old Business[edit]
- Review of the Communications Policy. It was proposed and accepted to move this after the Annual General Meeting.
- ECCC Project. There is a meeting on 7 November 2020.
- Secretary position. It was decided to leave the Secretary position vacant until the new directors are elected at the next Annual General Meeting.
- APG 2020 budget. The Board unanimously moved to create a mobile position of Wikimedian-in-residence as a pilot project with a pre-approved budget of $10,000, which can be augmented later if necessary.
- APG 2021. It was pre-approved by the Wikimedia Foundation.
New Business[edit]
- Educational Technologist. It was decided to move this issue to 2021.
- Annual General Meeting. The Annual General Meeting will be on 21 November 2020.
Roundtable[edit]
- 20th birthday of Wikipedia and 10th birthday of Wikimedia Canada. The idea to publish a book for the 10 years of Wikimedia Canada was proposed. The Programs Committee will discuss what we can do at its next meeting. The idea to publish short videos on the impact of Wikipedia in professional lives was also proposed.
