Bonus Activities[edit]Organizing a #1Lib1Ref event[edit]Organizing a Coffee Hour event with your colleagues is a great way to get some editing done. Do not hesitate to contact our team; we can help you. #1Lib1Cat[edit]Categories help improve the searchability and findability of articles on Wikipedia. They also help establish relationships between pages with related content. New for 2025, Wikimedia Canada is piloting a new method of contributing to #1lib1ref: #1Lib1Cat, short for one librarian, one category. The goal of this pilot is to utilize library workers' skills, aside from citation work, to improve Wikipedia. How to participate[edit]
Wikidata[edit]Wikidata is another Wikimedia project that relies on references to ensure verifiability. Although it is not the main focus of #1Lib1Ref, any references you add to statements on Wikidata will be tracked on the dashboard. We even have a prize for the person who adds the most references to Wikidata items! How to participate[edit]
