Design runs deeper than aesthetics alone. Pushing pixels and matching color palettes are important elements of visual storytelling - but it's not the meat and potatoes of a product. Figuring out the main engagement problems, analyzing properly collected data, running A/B test systems, and talking directly to users is what makes design thrive. It's what takes a good design and evolves it into a valuable product.
