Incubator[edit]

Hello, I am one the admins of Incubator. I'd like to note that Incubator *is* a public content project, not an internal project. The wikis it contains can be used like any other real wiki. SPQRobin 09:24, 4 September 2011 (EDT)

Projects Grant Proposal: Smithsonian Wikimedian-in-Residence for Gender Representation[edit]

I recently submitted a proposal to Project Grants to establish a Wikimedian-in-Residence for the Smithsonian American Women's History Initiative to catalyze the cultural heritage sector to increase the representation of American women on Wikimedia projects. Given the U.S. Congress' mandate, we are focusing on American women, however, we hope to partner with international Wikimedia communities to raise the profile of women across the world. The Smithsonian is investing heavily in increasing the resources about American women, focusing on women and girls of color, across its 19 museums and 9 research centers and we would like to develop, test, and share micro-crowdsourcing activities to increase the volunteer base on Wikidata and other Wikimedia projects. If you have suggestions or ideas, or have interest in partnering, please chime in on the proposal discussion page. --Digitaleffie (talk) 21:51, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
