2024 WMCA Community Survey Privacy Statement

This statement describes how Wikimedia Canada collects, uses, and shares the information we receive from the participants of our 2024 Community Survey.
Please note that this survey is powered by Google Forms, which means Google's use of your information is governed by their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Survey Purpose

We appreciate your feedback! Wikimedia Canada is looking to ensure we are supporting Wikimedians across all of Canada. This short survey will help us learn more about potential and existing contributors in Canada so we can ensure our programming serves their needs.

What Information We Collect

This survey automatically collects your responses and the submission time of the survey. Email addresses will also be collected, on a voluntary basis, for the sole purpose of contacting participants to conduct 30 minute virtual interviews.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Raw collected information will not be shared publicly. We will only share raw collected information with the Wikimedia Canada staff who need to process this information. We may publicly share anonymized or aggregated statistics regarding the survey's results, including on the Wikimedia Canada website.

Any email addresses collected will not be shared publicly nor will they be used for promotional purposes.

Data Retention Plan

Non-personally identifying information and aggregated or anonymized information may be kept indefinitely.
