The mission of the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ) is to provide democratic access to culture and knowledge. In this sense, BAnQ and Wikimedia Canada share this mission, but Wikimedia Canada is unique, and is committed to open access, whereby the works and documents are either in the Public domain or are the subject of explicit permissions for reuse, in agreement with the legal status of content as modified for Canadian law, notably The Copyright Act of Canada. BAnQ is part of a library network, and is easily searchable on the internet. This network is a veritable gold mine of documents and media, when freed from legal restrictions, and reused under the terms of a free license project such as those of the Wikimedia Foundation. You can find here many ways to start your search, and possibly help to get what you want. Feel free to ask questions and discuss your initiatives on the talk page for this project.
