  #1Lib1Ref
Imagine a World where Every Librarian Added One More Reference to Wikipedia!

Wikimedia Canada invites Canadian GLAMU (galleries, libraries, archives, museums and universities) to participate in this year’s #1Lib1Ref / #1Bib1Ref campaign and competition!

From Tuesday 15 January 2019 to Tuesday 5 February 2019 we invite GLAMU institutions across Canada to join us in a friendly competition where we add references to Wikipedia articles in any language! Let’s make Wikipedia better together.

Last year there was a small Montréal based competition that was won by Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ). This year we want this competition to be from coast to coast! Is BAnQ going to be able to come out again on top or is another GLAMU institution going to snatch that crown!?

2018 #1Lib1Ref Rankings:

  1. BAnQ : 293 references
  2. Université de Montréal : 109
  3. McGill University : 105
  4. Bibliothèques de Montréal : 68
  5. UQAM - Université du Québec à Montréal : 25
  6. Cinémathèque québécoise: 4
