Initial meeting Institut Tshakapesh
On Monday, September 11, 2017, Wikimedia Canada met with the Innu language institute, as well as a teacher from Uashat Secondary School. The aim of the initial meeting was to present Wikipedia, the Atikamekw projects and to probe the possibility of launching a Wikipedia in the Innu language. At the time of the meeting, Wikipedia Innu-Aimun is located in the Wikimedia incubator and the people around the table agreed on a work plan, videoconference meetings and an upcoming meeting, probably in April 2018 with teachers of primary and secondary schools of the reserve.
