Scholarship application
Welcome to Wikimedia Canada. We look forward to receiving your application for the 2011/2012 Wikipedian Canada Scholarship in Medicine.

The information you supply in your application will be kept private.
Application dates[edit]
Applications will be accepted from Sept 10th 2011 until Feb 28th 2012, with the winner of a $1000 dollar scholarship being determined by Mar 31st, 2012.
Candidates[edit]
Candidates must be enrolled in a Canadian post secondary educational institution. There are no restrictions regarding area of study.
Criteria[edit]
Submissions will be judged based on:
1) The overall improvement to a disease-related article, based on the criteria found here and here, and whether or not the article was brought to either good article or featured article status.
2) The importance of the article within the field of medicine. See these links for lists of top importance and high importance articles.
3) Articles must be in the English language for the 2011/2012 application due to the language abilities of the judges.
Resources to help applicants[edit]
Wikipedia's medical articles should be based on the best available evidence per WP:Medical Reliable Sources and written in a consistent format per WP:Medical Manual of Style.
